Synopsis

The mystery around Second Impact and the Evas is partially revealed. Misato and Ritsuko head off to see the activation of the pilot-less robot Jet Alone. However, the giant nuclear powered robot mysteriously runs amok, and it's up to Misato and Shinji to stop it before it melts down.

As usual, Misato wakes up and looks terrible. She goes to the refrigerator and takes out a can of beer. Shinji was leaving when he reminds her that she needs to go to school for a Parent-Teacher Conference.

Shinji is in school and Misato arrives in her sports car. Everyone was drooling over her beauty and envies Shinji as Misato is his guardian.

The next day, Shinji was shocked to see Misato wake up in her uniform. She tells him that she has a meeting and will be gone for a while.

Misato and Ritsuko attends a meeting that presents the new Jet Alone system. Ritsuko and the presentor gets into an argument and in the end it seems that the presentor is mocking them.

When the presentation of the Jet Alone system started, a problem with its reactor occured. The temperature in the core starts to rise abnormally. All commands sent to the system is ineffective. Misato started to take control over the situation. She tells Nerv to send over Unit 01. She gets a radiation suite and puts it on. She tells Shinji that she will go inside the Jet Alone robot and stop the meltdown. Meanwhile, Shinji will do his best to try to stop the robot.

Misato starts to fix the system but to no avail. It seems someone has tampered with it. She then decides to push the rod herself but before the robot blows, the rods suddenly injects themselves and the cool down begun.

Now that everything has finished, Misato is back to her old self. She looks like a mess and starts her day by drinking beer. As Shinji walks with Touji and Kensuke, they told him that they envy him for Misato is comfortable a side of her personality that she normally does not show to other people.
